  • Streetscape Improvements

We coordinate with City government to ensure investment in, and maintenance of, street and infrastructure elements such as sidewalks, lighting, wayfinding, public plazas, parkland, and bike lanes. DBP also provides and maintains beautiful street furniture, umbrellas, Tivoli lighting, and district-wide holiday lights.

  • Beautification + Landscaping

DBP’s “Clean Team” maintains over one million square feet of public space, including landscaped areas in medians, sidewalk tree pits, street planters, and plaza planting beds annually.

  • Events

Downtown Brooklyn’s public plazas are among the most vibrant in the city. We host scores of free events, including our Downtown Brooklyn Presents series of fitness classes, ping pong tournaments, live music, dance, movies, and holiday festivities, as well as the Downtown Brooklyn Arts Festival (DBAF). These events attract shoppers, engage the burgeoning residential population, and provide a means for businesses to promote themselves further through sponsorships.

Our Make It in Brooklyn event series includes pitch contests, meetups, panels, and talks that support local entrepreneurs and develop a networked innovation ecosystem.

  • Marketing

Downtown Brooklyn Partnership’s marketing channels offer ample opportunity to local businesses for promotion and community engagement. Our popular website lists 500+ area businesses and organizations, and showcases events happening in Downtown Brooklyn. In addition to our website, we spread the word about local businesses via our digital platforms – our newsletters and social media engage thousands each month.

  • Sanitation

In an effort to keep Downtown Brooklyn the cleanest neighborhood in the city, we provide year-round supplemental sanitation services, including sweeping, graffiti removal, and pressure washing. And with the installation of over 150 Big Belly solar-powered trash and recycling receptacles, we are diverting up to 20% of collected trash away from landfills.

  • Real Estate

We track local real estate developments, news, and trends, and work to attract new commercial tenants to the area. As champions of Downtown Brooklyn, our team stays up-to-date on all housing and commercial space, pipeline developments, and business incentives in order to promote Downtown Brooklyn to all potential residents and businesses.

  • Snow Removal

We provide supplemental snow removal services to key commercial corridors in the district to help ensure the public’s safety and keep our retail thriving. This includes more than 500 curbs, corners, and crossing areas cleared.
